Biography
I was in Dr. Stark's lab during my senior year at BYU. While there, I learned valuable lab skills and techniques that I have continued to use in graduate school. Dr. Stark also served on the supervisory committee for my Master's degree. During this time, Dr. Stark advised me and others in the lab on using the chick model system for experiments that were not feasible in mouse. I am currently at the University of Utah working on a PhD in Neuroscience. I feel that the level of teaching, research, and mentoring at BYU allowed me to be better prepared for my PhD program than many of my peers. I am grateful that BYU gives undergraduates the opportunity to become involved in, and take ownership of a real research project.
