Biography
I was involved with Dr. Stark's lab from August 2015-August 2016, studying the effects of ceramide on neural tube development in chicks alongside Micah Ross. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Stark taking me onto his research team during my final year at BYU. He was an enthusiastic and supportive mentor. He maximized my relatively short time in the lab by teaching me a wide variety of skills needed, not only for the projects we were currently working on, but for research in general. He was very aware of my goals both in and out of the lab and helped me to obtain them. After graduating from BYU, I worked as a clinical research assistant at Intermountain Healthcare for a year. I am currently attending medical school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, and reading.
