Biography
Kelly grew up in Aberdeen, WA and served a mission in Florianopolis, Brazil. He graduated from BYU-Idaho with a B.S. in Physics and a minor in biology. He is now a PhD candidate in the Physiology and Developmental Biology program, with an emphasis in biophysics. He will be pursuing a career as a biophysicist research scientist in industry.

Nutraceuticals against influenza: extraction and testing
Biography
I'm working on in vitro testing of nutraceuticals against influenza virus as well as nutraceutical extractions. I grew up all over the US and Germany as a military "brat" and served a mission in Latvia. I'm a senior (but graduating in 14 months) studying biophysics. Upon graduation, I want to continue biomedical research to help improve medical treatments of various ailments.

Biography
Garret is from Lehi, Utah and served an LDS mission in Argentina. His current research interests involve testing possible antiviral compounds for therapeutic effect. He is interested in the applications of influenza research because of the potential for practical benefits in people's lives. Upon graduation, he plans to attend medical school to continue to learn how to apply scientific knowledge to contribute to a better quality of life.
