Biophysics Great Lab Specific Safety Testing

You may begin the Safety Training and Testing process as follows:
Safety Training and Testing is the first week of the Training Course, and must be finished before any activities in the lab.

For Biophysics Great Laboratory Safety and Hazard Communication Test*:

• Obtain "Biophysics Great Lab Laboratory Safety and Hazard Communication Test" from 540 WIDB, or Download
• Answer all questions using the following:
  • Biophysics Great Lab Laboratory Safety and Hazard Communication Program
  • BYU Safety Training Presentation
  • MSDS Sheets in 540 WIDB or Online MSDS Search
  • Any other resources necessary, this may include asking Marilyn, Chris, other lab members, or PIs.
• Return completed test to 540 WIDB
• Receive Lab Orientation from Marilyn Baker

*Test must be passed with 100% before working in the Biophysics Great Lab.
Tests are open note.

Students/Employees are required to review all safety procedures and materials annually. "The procedures and requirements found in the Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP) apply to all individuals who enter, work, or perform activities within a laboratory where chemicals are stored, handled, or used."
